JalNirman ("JalNirman", "we", "us", or "our") is a business billing and management platform operated by Jal Mahakaal Shakti. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use JalNirman, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using JalNirman you agree to this policy.
1. Who this applies to
This policy applies to the account holders and staff of businesses that use JalNirman to run their billing, inventory, and related operations, and to anyone who signs in to our applications.
2. Information we collect
- Account information — your name, email address, phone number, business name, and role, provided when your account is created or when you sign in.
- Sign-in with Google — if you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and basic profile information from your Google Account, solely to identify you and log you in. We do not access your Google contacts, Gmail, Drive, calendar, or any other Google data.
- Business data you enter — information you and your business put into JalNirman, such as invoices, customers, suppliers, products, payments, and related records.
- Technical data — basic log and device information (such as IP address, browser type, and access times) generated automatically when you use the service, used for security and reliability.
3. How we use your information
- To provide, operate, and maintain the JalNirman service.
- To authenticate you and keep your account secure (including one-time login codes and Google Sign-In).
- To provide customer support and respond to your requests.
- To detect, prevent, and address security issues, fraud, or misuse.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your business data for advertising.
4. Service providers we share with
We share information only with the providers needed to run the service:
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) — hosting, storage, and email/SMS delivery. Your data is stored in the AWS Asia Pacific (Mumbai) region.
- Google — only when you use Sign-in with Google, to verify your identity.
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users or the public.
5. Data storage and security
Your data is stored on AWS infrastructure in India (Mumbai region). We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls, and authenticated logins — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and respond promptly to any issues.
6. Data retention
We retain your account and business data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. If your account is closed, we retain data only as long as necessary for legitimate business or legal purposes, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
7. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may request to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or ask questions about how it is handled. To make a request, contact us using the details below.
8. Children
JalNirman is a business tool intended for use by adults (18 and over). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will be communicated through the service where appropriate.
